Life got really weird this week. We went from level zero to level four in a matter of days, at the beginning of the week we didn’t even have a level. It’s now more important than ever to:
a- Stick to our bubble and protect vulnerable people.
b- Keep our community feeling good and maintain a positive state of mind.
I have confidence in New Zealanders to hunker down and protect their bubbles. I’m thinking a lot about all our elderly parents and grandparents - their isolation in quarantine, our children who suffer from asthma or respiratory illness and my friends who experience depression. I have confidence in the leadership of our country, in particular, Jacinda Ardern and Grant Robertson who are fronting the media each day.
I feel really passionate about keeping our online store open and supplying you all with haircare during the lockdown and I have fought hard over the past few days to make this happen for us. I believe that having good hair is intricately linked to how we feel about ourselves, our mood and our sense of wellbeing.
Many of my friends are operating small businesses and we are all working harder than ever to maintain contact with you through social media and other channels of communication. Our goal is to stay connected. From my where I sit right now, it makes me smile and lifts my mood each time I hear from a customer or client. It means a lot to me to hear from you. I’m sure the same is true for every kiwi-run company trying to navigate this new landscape we’re in.
So please don’t be shy about getting in touch. It’s a brave new world, an especially tough one for extroverts.
