SUPERIOR INTERIOR: SALVADOR DALÍ

Artists’ homes and studios are often an extension of their inner worlds, and Salvador Dalí was no exception. His homes took on a private version of his dreamscapes, from his longtime home and studio in Portlligat, which celebrated his connection to the landscape, to Torre Galatea, a former theatre that he turned into his final and most theatrical residence. He even gifted a castle to his wife and muse, Gala, to have as her private sanctuary. All of his domestic spaces blurred the boundaries between home, art, and stage set. We take a look at the wonderfully whimsical interiors below.
