Halloween is no longer simply the territory of polyester capes from LookSharp and dollar store cat ears. This year, the chicest costumes come straight from the runway. Couture silhouettes meet spooky archetypes. Think marble statues come to life, fallen angels dripping in rhinestones and sirens styled like Mugler muses. Call it haute haunt - dressing up has never looked this good.
THE FALLEN ANGEL

Rhinestones beneath fluttery white lashes. Metallic wings encasing porcelain fabrics, clinging and dramatically draping in all the right places. This is an elegant, decadent twist on the angel archetype.
VENUS FLYTRAP

A textural wasteland. Think of sculptural gowns, sharp pleats and petal softness. A new take on the glove, with finger dipped dark claws. Slick back your hair with wet look shine and a bold smudged lip. Seductive yet dangerous, a playful take on carnivorous plant allure.
A FORTUNE TELLER AND THEIR CRYSTAL BALL

Mysticism layered with sheer, ruched skirts. Metallic mesh hoods paired with jewels that drip. A glassy mirrored orb carried as your accessory.
THE BLACK WIDOW

Glossy black latex, gothic corseted gowns and a severe updo - the sharper the better. Exaggerated legs lined with bows or ruched tulle, a crochet hood with a million eyes. A femme fatale with arachnid undertones.
THE LIVING STATUE

A marble toned draped Grecian gown, powdery dusted makeup, an all over body glow and slick hair, painted to match. This is stone made soft and stillness made glamorous.
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA (LITERALLY)

A sharp red suit (Prada if you really want to lean into the joke), pointy hair accessories for horns, slick statement stilettos and minimalist sunglasses. Glossy, monochromatic with a punny twist.
THE SIREN

Not a Disney mermaid but an eerie, editorial sea siren. Try sequins for scales, pearlescent skin, waist-length wet look locks, shell accessories and an iridescent corset.
