GET THE LOOK: BONES

For fashion designer Benjamin Alexander's new project Bones - a dreamy collection of one-of-a-kind corsets and bralettes crafted from antique fabrics and haberdashery - romance is stitched into every seam.

"Wear a corset, throw a party," says Bones' Instagram bio, advice we also endorse. The collection of handmade heirloom pieces are available to shop by appointment exclusively at vintage bridal and occassionwear store Love James.

To complement the collection's soft femininity and vintage charm, colleen senior hairstylist Sean Mahoney created a voluminous set of polished waves on model Mia Scantlebury - with a timeless but modern edge.

Sean breaks down the look, and shares his expert tips for achieving perfect volume and that just-soft-enough finish.

STEP ONE: PREP

Prep the hair with R+Co's Dallas Thickening Spray for volume at the roots.

STEP TWO: BUILD

Apply Davines This Is A Volume-Boosting Mousse through mid-lengths to ends for body and hold.

STEP THREE: DRY

Blow-dry using the Parlux hairdryer and Evo Hank 52mm round brush, focusing on lift and smoothness.

STEP FOUR: STYLE

Set each section with the GHD Curve Classic Tong, using Davines More Inside Invisible No Gas Hairspray for lasting hold. Pin curls in place and allow to cool completely.

STEP FIVE: SOFTEN

Brush out thoroughly with the Mason Pearson BN3 Handy Hairbrush to blend and soften the set.

STEP SIX: FINISH

Finish with a mist of Davines Dry Texturizer for touchable texture and volume, followed by Davines Shimmering Mist for a glossy, radiant finish.
